Leeds Digital Careers Fair - 24 September 2024
Organised by Leeds City Council’s Employment & Skills Service, the biggest digital careers fair in the north returned to the Leeds First Direct Arena for the third successive year on Tuesday 24 September 2024.
This pivotal event aimed to inspire individuals who are either new to the digital or tech industry or are currently working in the sector but seeking a career change to explore diverse career paths and training courses available within the growing digital landscape.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, providing a platform for job seekers to engage with potential employers and learn about the various opportunities in the digital sector.
About the event
Leeds Digital Careers Fair returned to Leeds First Direct Arena on Tuesday 24 September 2024.
The event attracted 57 exhibitors, with 33 employers, 13 training providers and 11 organisations in the help zone.
4,200 visitors attended, highlighting the event's impact in bridging the gap between talent and opportunity.
The fair was engaging and informative, which incorporated interactive elements that provided attendees with a hands-on experience. Designed around three key pillars: 'inform,' 'inspire,' and 'include' , provided an event which informed attendees about the wide range of digital careers available, inspired them to pursue these opportunities, and ensured inclusivity by encouraging participation from diverse backgrounds.
This event was part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. In West Yorkshire, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority leads the implementation of the Fund as part of the Mayor’s ambition to make West Yorkshire the best place to work, learn and live.
